Learn Japanese through the songs and lyrics you already love. Utayomi turns lyrics and dialogue into a phrase-by-phrase study surface with furigana, reading, meaning, grammar, and nuance — a vibe-coding project built from scratch.
The home screen starts with music, not a textbook: search a title or artist, paste lyrics or dialogue, choose a song of the day, or begin from a level-based starter pack.
Every lyric is segmented into tappable phrases with kanji-aligned furigana. Selecting one opens its reading, literal and natural meaning, grammar, nuance, and estimated JLPT level.
The responsive experience carries the same learning flow to mobile, with Chinese or English explanations, translation and furigana controls, listening links, and a saved-phrase notebook. I vibe coded the interface, learning flow, and Cloudflare Worker backend from scratch.
